Show ORANGEVILLE A quiet wedding was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Snow Tuesday Tues-day when Frank Grange and Lydia Snow were joined together in the bonds of matrimony by Bishop fteid. 1 A dance was given in the evening. We wish the young people bon-voyage on the great sea of life and hope their sails may not be torn by the tempests that they, like all others, will have to encounter. Edgar and Dave Jewkes have begun work on the county road between Castledale Cas-tledale and Oranzeville. They expect to be gone until Christmas. Mrs. Thayne made a trip to Price this week but has been quite sick since her return. Mrs. Zina Tuttle and Miss Rose Cox gave a bundle shower at the Tuttle home for Mr. Frank Grange and Miss Lydia Snow. Mrs. J. W. Bench is in from Hiawatha visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Logan. Her many friends are glad to have Alice with them a-gain. a-gain. Roy and Bert Thayne have returned from Rexburg where they been working work-ing this summer. Several men have gone to the canyon to work. George Fullmer, with a number of men and teams,- went the latter part of last week to Green River, where they will work on the canal project. William Tatton has also got the cistern fever and will soon have a fine cistern completed for family use. The fever is spreading and many will have like improvements in the near future. The people in the Northwest corner of town are thinking seriously of building a large cistern back of the Davis home, under the hill, and piping the water to their homes. This move if taken up by those whom it would benefit would supply from fifteen to twenty famlies with a good water system, in their homes with but very little cost. Mrs. Jennie Kelley is here from Salt Lake visiting her parents, Bishop and Mrs. Reid. She has not been with us for a long time and all are pleased to see her and the little Lincoln Spry that she has with her. A shower is to be given in honor of Miss Maysie Cox at the home of Mrs. Nell Cox thi week. Rod Swasey waa the lucky winner of a suit of clothes raffled off at the Thanksgiving dance. |
