Show FcRRON Mrs. Abigail Stevens died Thursday morning after suffering for several weeks from dropsy. Further particulars particu-lars will be given in next weeks issue. The remarks that were made by our young Eiders in our last Sunday afternoon after-noon meeting were appreciated very much. Each speaker did very .well. The people of our vicinity are more than proud of our young men who.n are taking so much interest in the work of Zion. We believe our Elders are. much encouraged and that they are on the road to progression. Mtss Ruth Hansen has returned home after a six weeks music course at Provo. . A bundle shower was given Misses Ferril and Ada Huntsman last Friday I evening. A large crowd was present I and all were merry until mid ight, whe,n the crowd separated feeling well ,-atis- fied with the evenings entertainment. James Oviatt, of Cleveland celebrat-! celebrat-! ed the 24th in Ferron. You must ak Ruth to find what attractions he found over here? i Our successful little band gave the public several pretty musical selections the morning of t e 24fh. Our neighboring neighbor-ing towns will need to "wake up" if j they wish to stand next to Ferron in music. "Hurrah for the band" I We had a little rain over our way j Wednesday for al nost ten minutes it I rained quite hard. It is well appreciated apprecia-ted after a long spell of dry weather The stork visited the home of Mr and Mrs. Whyler Henrie leaving in their care a beautiful visitor. Whyler is happier than the larks that twitter around his farm meadow at gray dawn. (Crowded out last week) "Every body is doing it now." The 24th of July, which is to be celebrated at Ferron viill be similar to that of the 4th. A rousing good time is promised, and we know that the community-will say the affair was a booming success. We are sorry to say that the committees commit-tees have not quite finished the program pro-gram for the morning exercises and the afternoon sports but thev are al! working work-ing hard to bring this celebration to the front with good force and plenty of life. We are proud to mention the improve- ! mailt in our successful little oand. They are doing remarkable well and we will assure you that Ferron will be right on the spot with grst class music for the grand dry celebrstion. We -v ill then give three cheers, for the band! May success be theirs! Mrs. F. A. Killpack has been very ill the past week. She is a friend maker a loving mother and a devoted wife and we hope her health will again be restored. |
