Show FERRON We are enjoying the effects of a gentle rain. The first rain of this kind occuring in June in many years. Crops at present are looking fine. A heavy yield is expected in alfalfa seed this year, it being a dry season. Dinah Wrlggley passed away yesterday yester-day afternoon. She has been confined to her bed the past few weeks with dropsy. She was the wife of Joseph Wriggley, who passed away a few months ago. Geo. Pettey has completed the canyon can-yon road. It is the best road Ferron has ever had over the mountain. In fact it's an auto road. We have a regular auto running in our town. Its nof. an auto-mow-hay but an automobile. Morris seems to attract the girls. John Funk and wife, E. K. Funk and wife and Mrs. Joseph Hanson left for Manti Thursday where they will spend a few days visiting with relatives. A very enjoyable time was had at Miss Kate Lemons' last Friday evening. The lawn was lighted with Japenese lanterns and was made to smell sweet with the fragrance of roses. Ice-cream and orange cider and other refreshments refresh-ments were served. There was music and singing which added to the enjoyment enjoy-ment of the evening. Those present were the Misses Barkley, Taylor, Vie and Ruby Funk, Evelyn Lowry, Lillian Nelson, Ruth Hanson. Pearl Ralphs, Kate and Jennie Lemon, and Clifton and Lossie Ralphs, Harold Hanson, Sidney Peterson, Willis Thompson, Clarence Lemons and wife. Arthur Lemons, Lowry Nelson, Drs. Ward and Burnette. William Rasmussen returned home with his bride. They will make their home here. It is rumored we are to have another orchestra here. That makes two, come to Ferron to dance. Our 4th of July committee has been chosen. Wm. Dugmore is chairman so a good time is assured. J. E. King and son. Warren have returned re-turned home. J. E. King has .been at the hospital for come time where he underwent an operation. Warren will remain a few days before his return to Grace, Idaho. |
