Show URANIUM DEPOSITS DISCOVERED DIS-COVERED ON SINBAD Last fall it was noted of the fact that Messrs. Oscar Beebe and Ira R. Browning, Brown-ing, of Castledale, had located a fine mineral deposit near the Wild Horse Canyon on Sinbad some 25 miles southwest south-west of here. They prospected the claims five of them last February and March, driving seven tunnels quite a distance. In each instance the ore did not show any signs of pinching out and improved in quality. It's probably the largest deposit of uranium in the United States so far as is know at this time. Last week they hauled out about 7500 pounds of the ore. Two thousand five hundred pounds of it went to a Mr. Douglas of New York, and 5000 pounds was shipped to Berlin, Germany. It is to be treated there and if the mill run comes anywhere near the assayist's analysis, then you may look out. There'll be something doing in these parts. We understand the German government is behind this enterprise and if everything proves at all interesting, there will be a concentrating mill built at Green River and the ore from this immense deposit will be freighted to Green River by teams. Talk about your oil, your fruit, your beets, your cantaloupes and melons but if this uranium concentrating concentrat-ing mill is started at Green River and we have eyery reason to believe that before the snow flies they will be blowing blow-ing weather signals from the whistle of the first substantial mill that will be erected in Green River. Our information informa-tion is exclusive and from the inside. Now get your oil flowing through that j pipe line we'll need before 1912 for fuel, j If you've got oil "to burn" we want it. Don't be prospecting over half of Grand ! county, but get a move on you with ' that pipe line, we'll be ready for it be-! be-! fore you can furnish it. Green River j Dispatch. |
