Show CHARLES BEEBE VOLUNTARILY RETURNS Aftpr successfully eluding both 'the' state and federal officers for about six : months, Charley Beebe has voluntaily come back to stand trial for the of- . fenses of which he is accused. He was in Salt Lake last week and from there telephoned his father that he was com- : ing home and would like for him to ! come and get him. Mr. Beebe went to ' meet him and they reached here Sui;- ; day night. ! Monday morning Charley appeared ! before Judge Sorenson and gave bonds for appearance to answer to the charge of burglary filed by Attorney Dickson immediately after the affair at Ferron. f3A couple of days later Deputy United States Marshal Julian Riley came down from Salt Lake with a warrant for him on an indictment found by the federal grand jury. He was taken before United States Commissioner Howard at Huntington where he gave bonds for appearance. And so the matter rests. Charley is here to stand trial and by his own act. What the state or federal officials will be able to prove will be found out at the time of trial. His hearing before Sorenson is set for February 14th. |
