Show CASTLEDALE REMEMBER THE POOR AND THE NEEDY The Castledele ward and the Relief society of the ward gave a very suc-sessfui suc-sessfui party and dance in honor of the poor of the ward on Wednesday evening even-ing at which there was a very large attendance, one of the largestjturnouts of the season, about 60 numbers sold. The proceeds going to the poor and the needy. Several loads of wood were delivered de-livered to the poor and each person attending at-tending the dance were required to bring at least a pound of some produce and as many more pounds as seemed their desire to bring. Although we have not many widows or poor people in Castledale ward, yet this was done to show respect and also to show to the poor and the widow and orphans that thev were not forgotton during the Christmastide of the year of 1910 and to advent the new year of 1911 with joy, pleasure and plenty, and for the good of "Peace on earth and good will toward men.' The party was a pleasant pleas-ant event and everybody who attended apparently had come with the above intent and all went away with a glad heart and a feeling wdthin their breast that they hid done some gojl in the old year. A great lot of produce and a good Xmas gift will be the result to the poor and the needy, the wddow and the fatherless. |
