Show Genesis of the Common Fowl. Evidence has been discovered indicating indi-cating that the common fowl was present pres-ent in Babylonia in the fiftieth century cen-tury B. C; that it was introduced into Egypt about 4600 B. C; to the Mediterranean Medi-terranean countries from Mesopotmia-at Mesopotmia-at some unknown but very early date,, and to India by a race from the northwest, north-west, known as Dravadians, at an un-"known un-"known date. No evidence has been: found that the fowl originated in India, but the species is now as numerous-there numerous-there as in many other parts of the-world. |
