Aug. 31 (UP) A maze of evidence which interests shipping hoped would defeat the petition of railroad executives for a 15 per cent horizontal increase in freight rates, was prepared for submission today at the opening of the interstate commerce commissions final hearing on the petition. Four fires Saturday between 6 p. m. kept the city fire engines on the run. Flames were shooting through the garage roof of the Harry Wybrow garage at the rear of his residence, 171 West First North, at 3:07 when the fire crew extinguished the blaze but not before it had done between $500 and $600 damages to a coupe and the garage. The loss is partially covered by insurance. Wybrow is custodian at the Cache County courthouse. A grass fire at 3:22 p. nr. damaged a fence at the Cache county fair grounds to the extent of $12.
