At 110 feet we struck asmall flow of gas; at 273 feet we struck a flow of between one and and two million feet of gas ; at 336 we struck a small flow of gas ; at 430 we struck a flow of about four million feet of gas; at 460 we struck a small flow of gas And a GOOD showing of OIIi We have struck several other sands at deeper depths, and at the present date (July 7, 1917) we are drilling at about 960 feet and indications point to a good big Producer in this well. We are also located just about midway between two producing wells on the same 'Structure, the Oklahoma Star well and the Marland Refining Cos well, and to date the structure in our well Is higher than in either of these two producing wells. At a meeting of the Directors of the Company it was unahi-mousldecided that owing to the present development of nearby properties situated on the same big anticline as THE BIG PRO- TECTION OIL COMPANYS holdings are located, which is producing large quantities of oil, have increased the value of our properities tosuch an extent that the sales price of our stock had cash to be advanced to $1.50 per share. Our terms being One-hah in 30 days and the balance in 60 days. A further and advance before we strike oil is not unlikely as many wells are drilling nearby, some of which may drill into the pay at any time and yield large flows of the Golden Fluid. Bulletin No. 16, which is issued by the Oklahoma Geological Survey at Norman, Okla., says in parti There is no doubt but that conditions here are very favorable for the accumulation of Oil and Gas. The Company holds the oil rights on acreage lying northeast of Ponca City, Okla. The structure on which this acreage lies, reaches from the Newkirk field on south-weto the Ptjica City is which to said be, field, by eminent geologists, the largest and most prominent anticline west of the Mississippi river. On this acreage there are five gas wells, none of which were drilled more than 500 feet deep. On the Doughty farm, there is a gas well within 600 feet of our present location, which when drilled in made 6,000,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Gas was encountered at 185 feet, 332 feet and 393 feet, the total depth of the well. Three of these gas wells produced gas for Ponca City for over three years and are still producing gas.
