Merwin Stevens, ML Carmel, Utah, 19-we- air tactics course at the Array Aviation Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama. Lt. Stevens received training in the duties of Army aviation officers in support of combat operations of grohnd forces. Army airplanes are primarily used for reconnaissance purposes. The lieutenant was a soil scientist with the U.S. Dept, of Agricultures SCS in' Ogden before entering the Army in Nov. of last year. A member of Alpha Zeta fraternity and the Scabbard and Blade society, he was graduated from Utah State University at Logan in 1957. , - ' Turkey Shew, December S and 6 in Salt lake City, are he pe hilt Den Jacebten, Bruce Allred and Gayle Hetman.
