KHS Graduation Ve Offer Our Apologies St. George Temple By ERROL G. BROWN Sacred wedding vows spoken last Saturday, May 5th in the lovely St. George LDS Temple united in marriage Miss Zina Swapp of Kanab and Mr. Clyne Broderick of Huntington Park, California. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Swapp of Kanab. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Lola Broderick of Huntington Park. The young couple were honored at a lovely reception the same night of the wedding in Kanab at the Club Room. Zina received her education in Kanab, graduating from Kanab High School in 1954. She has been working in California since last September. Clyne graduated from high school in California. The Brodericks are formerly from Utah having lived in Emery. Utah, prior to moving to California. The young couple left for California shortly after their reception where they will make their home in Huntington Park, where Clyne is an auto parts salesman. Three weeks ago in the April 19th issue of the Southern Utah News, we carried an article by C. V. Parrv, under the title of Public Forum by the readers". After two weeks of studying this very misleading article, we feel that it is our duty as publisher of this newspaper to make an apology for this article having ever appeared in our newspaper; to Duncan Findlay, Jack Church and our readers. The article from all standards appears to us to be directed at Duncan Findlay anJ, Jack Church, purely from a selfish and unreasonable viewpoint by Mr. Parry. Not being in Kanab the week that this article was turned into our office, wc had no chance to see the article, but had we done so it would have never been allowed in our paper. To our way of thinking it shows a very unjust and childlike attitude toward two men who arc doing a good job in both private and public service. We think Mr. Findlay and the school board were wise in not renting the building to eilher party, and especially so to Mr. Parry if he is going to take this attitude toward anything that does not go to please him. Renting the building right beside another building where daily school classes are being held, would have been unjust to our children and teachers. We believe that Mr. Parry has too long valued the dollar above everything else. KaCharles Mace returned to Again, we make our apologies to both Mr. Findlay and Mr. nab last week following a two Church and our readers for allowing this article to ever appear months stay bTthe northern part columns. in our of the State and in Idaho, where he visited with one of his daughters.
