[Chandler] were coming down here, and Coach [Barret] Peery had a lot to do with me coming here,' Sant said. Not only is Sant a student-athlete, he is also a husband and father. He and his wife Jenny have two children, Brevin, 2, and Beaux, nine months. When asked how the family balances evrything, Sant immediatly spoke about his wife, "I credit Jenny, she doesn't complain about anything. she's always supportive of everything.· "It's hard work, but it' s worth it. It teaches us patience," said Jenny Sant. Jenny and the boys are at every home game and even travel to a few away games. Brevin even wears a small SUU · shirt to support his father. Coach Evans referred to Sant as the ' Xfactor" for his team. Evans also spoke about how Sant's "lack of a tremendous ego," sets an example for his team . "I try to pick up the slack and be a positive influence . I try to keep the guys up beat and do whatever it takes to get the job _, done," Sant said. "We want to go to the NCAA tournament; that's the big picture.· 5 The possibility of the T-Birds going to the ~ NCAA tournament is real. And, it will ~depend largely on the silky jump shots, ~crisp passes, and consistent defense of The Southern Utah University men's basketball team is in the midst of what may turn out"to be"the most successful season in school history. I really th ink we lucked into Justin , and he lucked into us.
