Mr. Cottle's interest in the subject started when he was the general agent and insurance adjuster for the Beneficial Life Insurance Co. His territory took him through Eastern Oregon. Washington and Idaho The attitude of the people he met in this capacity, their courage and fortitude in adversity, sickness and death were in so many instances inspiring and unusual, he felt they were memories to be cherished. "Faith, and fear, I believe are the two greatest powers competing for the control of the human mind Therefore when one changes himself and develops a strong and abiding faith, Ihire is a peace, a joy and a happiness that comes, that nothing else can compare with" and he continued "to bring happiness and peace of mind to others has become the greatest motivation of my life Every day since he began to recover from his illness he has made it a point to do from three to four special acts of kindness to friends and even to strangerss. He visits the sick, some of whom he has never seen before, to carry his message of hope and faith to them. He has sent countless letters and notes of encouragement to people all over the country and in many other simple but potent ways blesses the lives of all those with whom he comes in contact, giving them comfort and cheer Mr. Cottle is a native of Weber County, having been born in Plain City, ills mother died when he was v R. ui and business un'il i i in i i r sill ottli i' tirritori.il man (iencr.il F nod o of rain i'io a d Oakland Hjv W if F liltb D i i i el i ng I u Id i Mu i I in,' ,i' 'liuun i lii lee, (lifters. ppi r r ic lit ( lotlung there ir prutuhlv plenty of hovs who would like 'tie bei lower lrf spnrl' The young ladv, lower right. busy making more iletprs for her father on her Singer '( w mg nv bine ur mnlnrt ilMimigMi W mm n in is ur In ir i h Idren n tin in in tlx r I i i o ( t S(6$ hi ri a Ir ' i rom unis ,! , . no wav discouraged Mr Mr' I ot Me lx aim- the ra'hu r of He becatni j mm h sought the thi ati r The ( ottle ir spi icr for the Kiuanis Koare jti'Mv proud of r,,ii ' an i ii hi r si n m c lubs t he tluir fine family Huir ildiM 'on in i i Tavlur Frai ii' i o't'i i' an 30 prar'iiing in Spokane Wash '1 homas Dean (ottle, Marquette I (tiler Null Tin fidlouing I 1. i I ' it v Srhool of Dentistry, Mil Flvc-IW llu third irlule I ikin from wmkie i' and Mr' Anita ) Haikm.m who'c husband is Ki mb II N II v d r ' ef lli v el, mil ilu 'tipi rintendi nt of the Amalgamated 'I si rilling his r Sugar factory Paul Idaho i m g nil the fru i nl bn In the early years of their marpictures ire Mr M ihev s riage the family moved to Bear M PTI M Ilf K 11th Ljke, Idaho where Mr Cottle and his wife opened the first cafe at I .si F i'h Haven on Hear Lake and Mr ui n bin M ' Thi Rov Fourth Ward are (. ottle 'old Model 'Mi pm pir i T and Model A ip ' si r, ns holding a dinner program on Fords for the Hear Lake Motor Co . i.! 11 t I4i December 9th to increase their ( ,f'i r sn'iie of Montpelier He was one of the rd h ft A i'h f.i't rowing buildirg fund at ' ii' nr first scout masters in the Bear Lake Valley and served as stake superin Tie affair will begin at fl .10 tendent of the AMMIA of the Bear f ' i m r the Lakcvuw Stake ir " ii s r in Mi'it lake Stake hoii'c The cost per family will ii 'm mi e ( "K mis w ildebeevte F'rom Hear lake, they moved to he $"i hi Ii - fnun now her. in di 1oiatcllo where Mr Cottle held the hi i m but )n r in thi' in The s Teaehc unde r um of the quen position of district manager I lb . biui w iib tin the d rection nf Donald Bui!
