XX ) ' I-- X Mr. Jensen citizens representing the various civic organizations in the community. The Roy area has not had a school board member since R. P. Greenwood represented us 22 years ago We have attempted to elect a board member in the past and have always had our community split on two or more candidates. This election we are attempting to center on one person and get the entire community to support the one candidate. The Roy area has grown by leaps and bounds with many resulting school problems, and we feel that it is a must at this time, time have a board member to represent the community and the many problems that are arising. We now have better than 80 per cent of the population in the school board district and arc in a favorable position to elect a board member if you, as voters, will support the candidate. The school board election will be held at the same time as the general election, and a seperate ballot will be provided.' Mr. Jensen was born and raised in Roy, attended Weber County schools, Weber College, and the University of Nevada, and is well qualified to represent the community. He has a thorough understanding of our school problems and as a parent is vitally interested in school affairs. We will not have another opportunity to elect a board member for five years. For this reason we feel that as voters we should make every effort to elect a representative on the school board from Roy.
