Dale Hepworth, biologist for the Division of Wildlife Resources said that due to weather conditions and the lack of enough chemical rote-non- e, the Cedar Ctiy Division made the decision to postpone poisoning of the reservoir until approximately October 15th. He said more chemical has been ordered but has not arrived, but added that with most of the area farmers cutting the use of water for irrigation that more water was coming in than Is being released. This may cause a problem, if the reservoir fills up, because we still wont have enough chemical to do a good job. Ideally, for effective treatment the reservoir should be lowered to at least half capacity to force the fish into smaller areas, he said. The DWR also plans to hold a public meeting in Beaver on Friday, September 28th to discuss year-roufishing In most Utah waters, and other fishing regulations. Discussion will begin at 7:00 p.m. In the Beaver Civic Center, 75 East Center Street. Major changes In the designation of year-rouwaters and Ice fishA difing are being proposed. ferent format for a simplified 1985 fishing proclamation will also be Public Input Is needed explored. and welcomed. All Interested persons are encouraged to attend. If the reservoir Is poisoned, the public will be allowed to take trout as long as they stay within a licensed limit. Although fish salvage will be allowed, it Is not expected that many trout will turn up from the Lake. It is also recommended that fish be taken while fresh and not allowed to sit in the warm lake for long periods of time. Plans 27-2- nd tain It. -- 0 - - BEAVER Published not of native origin.
