For the state as a whole, teacher salary increases will average nearly $400 next year. The Foundation analysis shows that a teacher with a bachelor degree who began his teaching career in the Granite School District during the 1962-6- 3 school year received a starting salary of $4,002. In 1966-6- 7 this same teacher with four years of teaching experience will receive $5,680 Approximately half of these increases have come from general increases in the salary schedule scale, with the remainder being the anni&l increments for teaching experience. The combined increase amounts to $1,678 or 42 percent for the four-ye- ar period.
