INJURED CENTERS Both teams will be without their number one centers. John Bone and Jerry McDonald both have broken legs. This will hamper both teams. McDonald was a big man in the Wildcat line as he has put the stop on many occasions. Lehi was along with Uintah to win region but are having their troubles getting into the win column. Coach Gibson and his team face a tough schedule in the next four weeks as they take on American Fork who is tied with Uintah for first place at the present time. After that they meet Uintah and finish up with Union in a game away. The Wildcats have lost two very close games in their last two starts and with a break in the right place the score could have had theCats on the long end. However, the spirit is still high and a victory today would really give the Gibson coached team a great boost. GOOD SUPPORT So far this season, the studentbody have supported tin team very well. This is very essential to the team. The cheerleaders must be given credit for they are doing a great job. One reason being the vigorous school spirit that has been demonstrated throughout the early part of this year. For example at the Spanish Fork and Pleasant Grove football games there was a very good percentage of our students who made the bus trips, which helps the morale of the guys on he field no end. School Spirit With' the coaches, Mrs. Rodgers and the sparkling foursome of Faye, Frances, Karen and Janice, who lead the cheers, we have the big reason for the new boom in school enthusiasm this year. In mentioning the people who have and will promote school spirit we cannot forget the drill team. These girls do a wonderful job and for the many long hours of hard work they put in. get very little thanks. The Lettermans Club i$ planning on a big year. They have elected officers: Bob Bunker, president: Bob McDonald, vice president, and Bob Eastmond, treasurer. They are going to buy a gold cup .vluch will be a symbol of school spirit and will be given to the class who supports the athletic functions this year. It will be a traveling trophy, changing hand? after every game l 7-- 6 unless one class can keep it more than one week. While we have suffered some recent setbacks on the gridiron, there is still a lot of football season left and with some more fine support from the students and a lot of hard work by the team there will be some surprised teams in this region.
