Mr. Cupid has hit a new girl here at the Y, Mrs. Gene (Valene) Hansen. She is a senior and came from Wasatch high school. Glad to have you Valene. Well, Valentines can come and go and girls, just dont let any arrows get stuck in your hearts. e Personality Spotlight Senior Girl Is Featured In Personality Spotlight Blond, blue eyed, petit Lou Rita Geertsen hits the spotlight this month for personality. Lou Rita, a senior, is a member of the Notre Maison, Fauvines, and Thespian Clubs. She has been a member of the concert chorus for three years. Lou Rita has a long list of achievements. The most recognized of these are in the field of dramatics. When she was in the seventh grade she played Heidi in the Childrens Theatre produc- tion of Heidi. Earlier this year she played the leading role in The Magic Turquoise. Dancing, drawing and art work rate high on her list of favorite pastimes. In her spare time Lou Rita likes to work with ceramics. When she was in the ninth grade Lou Rita attended Culver City Junior High in Culver City, California. The rest of her school years have been spent at the Y. Lou Rita has been keeping the home fires burning while her parents are in California, where her father is working on his Doctors Degree. When asked her future plans Lou Rita I plan to continue my said, schooling at the BYU, where I want to major in Home Econ-- , omics. Her pet peeve is students who dont attend the school games, and dont show their school spirit by yelling for the team. Lou Ritas friendliness and bright smile have won her many friends at the Y. Caution; Fri. 13 g As far as achievements . go Kraton has had his share. This year he is serving as Senior Class Vice President and is the sports editor for the school paper, the YLD CAT. He is also a member of the lettermens club. Kraton was one of the outstanding players on this years championship football team. He always exhibited good sportsmanship and gave everything he had to the game. As you have probably guessed Kratons interests are centered around sports. Last year Kraton was catcher on the baseball team and he plans to go out for baseball again this spring. One of his favorite pastimes is girs. He also likes to travel, to read and to see movies. Kratons pet peeve is a repetitious person. When Kraton looks in his crystal ball he sees a college diploma. He thinks he would like to major in engineering or journalism. So far the college of his choice is still undecided. Kraton came to the Y in hU junior year. Before coming to V Y he attended Wasatch Ac , emy and Wayne High School the Academy he was active e sports, being a member of sophomore basketball tead also participated in foot baB10 track. |
