In the second quarter the Cats moved their score up to 15 points, and Delta hit their basket for eight points tof make the halftime score The last half of the game proved to be just as exciting as the first. The rabbits hopped up to within one point of the Wildcats, but couldnt seem to get ahead of them. The Wildcats kept right on going. They ended the game with an eight point advantage over Delta. Stan Collins paved the victory path with 15 points for his team. 8-- 15-1- Collins drives for two Almost, While Wildcat guard Abe Christensen watches. As the fourth and iinal quarter opened the Wildcats were in an almost hopeless position. But then Dave Crowton came in with four quick baskets for eight points while B. Y. held the Devils. But it was to no avail, as Springville got the ball and held it to a 1 victory. Stan Collins was high point man for B. Y. High with a sum of 10 points, while Ab Christensen played a good floor game. This time the villian was the Juab Wasps, whose two points in the overtime period gave them a 41 to 39 victory. It was the Wasps last half play and especially the last quarter, that gave them the victory, as Worthington and Park started hiting, while the 'Cats missed frequently and threw away their basketball mentor will be Don Snow, former B. Y. High and B. Y. U. star. Don Snow was a graduate of B. Y. High and was a star on the Wildcat team. In his senior year he led the division scorers with 120 points in twelve games. He also went to the B. Y. U., from which he graduated. He then served in the army with our football coach, Owen Dixon, and they became very good friends, and have continued that friendship through the years. On his discharge from the army, he took over the hoop duties at Millard for one year (1946). Then North Summit grabbed him and he has been there ever since. His record at N. S. has been a good one and in last years hoop season he gained a split in two games against the Wildcat crew, something not many teams were able to do. He also kept his N.S. Braves a contender right up to the last game in the Summit division. Mr. Snow should be here around New Years. The reason for the delay is due to the fact that a replacement has to be found before he will leave North Summit. Using a brand of ball similar to B. Y.s, he weaves, uses the post and does a lot of driving. His principal defense is with a moderate switch. He keeps his boys on their toes and installs the will to win into them. This applies not only to basketball but .also to track and tennis which he will also coach. man-to-ma- passes. Led by Stan Collins and Eldon Lloyd, the Wildcats rolled up a 3 halftime lead.
