It seems that Paul Despain, Utah county official mentioned the original idea to the late Mr. Herbert Christensen before the Christmas holidays and it was de- prided to go ahead with the plan early in the following month of January. The reason for this type of map, which will be placed in the rotunda of the county building downtown was so that the children going to any of the Provo City schools can see just exactly where they live in relationship to the rest of the county. The map has been mostly worked on by Val Stringfellow and Eddie Maloney, with assistance from Dee Wilcox, Don Gilchrist, Irene Hafen and Wester Potter. The whole project has been under the supervision of Mr. Gunn. The dimensions of the map are 7 ft. by 9 ft., with a scale of 1 and one half inch equal to one mile. The whole city of Provo is only 3 inches wide. Wildcats Topple Crew 3 Payson B. Y. was in the forms.
