No. 4 Volume 5 High School, Provo, Utah, Wednesday, November 26.J947 Prize Tonight Turkey Arrangements Made for Thanksgiving Editorial Stolworthy, All State Within this article I hope a few things can be settled concerning the newspaper It seems that for a long time someone has needed to explain to the student body a tew facts about what it is like to work on a staff, so I shall to do so. Fust, however, I should like to thank those students who have put their suggestions m the box, instead of standing about the hall moaning, doing no one any good. It was suggested that we have a larger newspaper. We would be glad to do so if finances would permit. Untortnnately, we are running the Y'ld Cat an a budget, given to us by the unir versity, and by which we mvt live. If you would rather halve the paper out once every mqjnth, instead of every two weeks we can have a larger paper less often, so let us know how you feel about it. Enlarge the staff. This was your suggestion, and your lenge. If you would hue to work on the staff we will be glad to have you, but it is your place to come to us. After all, we cant rout each of you out. 3. Have- a better form of distributing the paper. On this point I shall agree that something should be done. When we issued cards to you, we didnt realize that you would be incapable of keeping track of them. And as for the person who accused us of never having the paper out on time, I shall only say that it was a little unfair. The paper has come out regularly each two weeks except last time, which was a result of conditions beyond our control. 4. More personal news. This was one of the duties of the box. We have asked you to put in suggestions for news about your friends, etc. You put them there, we will print them. So if you want more news about more you let us know what is going on. Well there are a few questions answered. Any others you might have Ill be glad to answer also. Remember, we want to make the paper one that you will most enjoy, and one that we will be proud to send to other schools. Your Editor. Reed Stolworthy has been acclaimed all state honors in recent newspaper poll. Blasting his way past stiff competition Reed has proved himself worthy of the honor. As the best line backer-u- p in the state he is without competition. Packing the ball through the line or on his deadly end runs, Stolworthy is tops. Reed says he is as yet undecided on whether he will play fullback again or try a line position, which he held down as a sophomore. The college eye is on Reed whereever he plays. Reed is not the only member of our team to bring glory to the Wildcats this season.
