Salty Oaks Memorial Tournament in Vernal at the Dinah Bowl. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society. Three Oaks generations competed in the tournament. M E. Salty Oaks widow, LaVeen Oaks and his mother, Marell Oaks took part in the tournament. and ninth frames. Bantam doubles winners are Ryan and Brett Oaks at 271. Ryan Oaks won the singles title at 606 and Brett Oaks placed second at 605 Kellie Gadd and Vonda Foster won the junior doubles title at 1268 and Brian Thoene and Jason Belless placed second at 1203. B. Thoene won the singles title at 687 and Gadd nabbed second at 604. Belless netted third at 602 Foster placed fourth at 591. Terri Martin and Ron Culpepper placed first in the senior doubles with a 1339 score and Deb Sulser and Jim Smarr netted second at 1083 Culpepper won the singles crown at 666 and Martin netted second at 662.
