Uintah downed Duchesne, 15-- in the first game and 15-- 9 in the second game, September 10 at Duchesne High School. The Utes are 0 against the Eagles this season. 3 June Anderson led Uintah in the first game with five service points. She scored points, four, five, six, seven and eight. Andy Critton added four points and flipped in counters number one, two, three and thirteen. Shellie Belcher added three points. She scored points, ten, eleven and twelve. Julie Zeilstra scored points number fourteen and fifteen for two counters and Terry Zeilstra added one point Anderson led the Uintah Utes in the second game with six points. She scored points number one, two, twelve, thirteen, fourteen and fifteen. Shauna Mansfield added four points. She scored points, eight, nine, ten and eleven Beynon poured in three points, five through seven. Katy Weber and Audra Pope added one point each. The Ute varsity team defeated in the first game, but dropped the next two games to to even out their e, 15-- 5 e, 15-1- 15-1- record at 2 wins and 2 losses. The Utes are in region action 2 Uintahs junior varsity team imwith a win proved their record to over Duchesne, but dropped to 1 on a loss to Spnngville. Duchesne won the first game, 15-but Umtah rallied back for wins in the second and third game, game, Spnngville won the first game, 15 12, but Uintahs junior varsity team tied up the meet at 1 with a second game victory. However, Spnngville broke the tie with a third game triumph. The Uintah High School volleyball team will host Spanish Fork, Wednesday and will take on the Lady Lions in Payson, September 24. Uintah will battle the Vikings from Pleasant Grove, September 26. The Utes will clash with the Bulldogs in Provo, October 1 and will host Carbon, October 3; Timpview, October 14 and Spnngville, October 16. Eldredge beat Chris Gregory and Tim Nelson defeated Ray Allen in first round matches Newbold reached the title match on a win over B Eldredge and G MAV ERICK Don Bowles defeated Gordon Eldredge, Saturday for the mens title in Varsity No. 240 Scout Team Horseshoe Tournament in Vernal Newbold won the first game, but Eldredge pocketed a triumph in the second game to tie up the match at Eldredge had a 10-- 4 lead and a 0 lead at one time in the third game, but Newbold rallied for a 8 win and won the title. Newbold had two ringers during one turn and almost achieved the feat a second time, but Eldredge knocked off one of the ringers with a horseshoe toss of his own.
