Show A PROMINENT WOMAN 1323 dieb on tuesday at about 1230 p m mrs airs lottle lottie neeley hunsaker died at the family homo home in Ilone honeyville after a lingering illness of a number ot of years which finally developed into heart trouble just a few weeks ago mrs hunsaker was in brigham spending a short time at the home ol of mr air and mrs airs joseph N and at that time she complained of her weak heart but otherwise felt stronger than S she he has tor for a number of years As the days passed by since that ume time her condition gradually changed indications pointing to the inevitable end so that when she passed peacefully away her loved ones were fully prepared but none the less shocked in their feelings in the passing of mrs airs hunsaker the community in which she resided and the county at large lost a splendid woman whose characteristics were strongly progressive and who was essentially senti ally a builder early in life she became identified with the labor at upon the establishment of new settlements and she has been a directing force not only in her fa family ily but in the com community at large tor the up building and growth of the country she was the daughter of the late patriarch william neeley and helen neeley and was born in bountiful march 18 1855 her parents came to brigham city among the early settlers alers and were associated in the work of laying the foundations of this commonwealth mon wealth a labor in which their daughter lottie participated to a very marked degree in the year 1873 1975 president brigham young coun counseled 8 e led the organization throughout the church of the young ladies society which afterwards became the mutual improvement pro association and this organization was effected in brigham city that same year mrs airs hunsaker being chosen as the second counselor to the late minnie J snow who was the president in her early young womanhood she taught school tor for a season also on february 22 1874 she became the wife of israel hunsaker and a little litile over a year later accompanied her husband with a small child chil dIn ln her arms on a working mission to dixie to establish a colony and take charge of the church cotton farm for four VS alro and LC r hav 1 r remained k down there during which time five of their children were born returning to this city about thirty years ago the family soon after removed to honeyville which has been their home since mrs airs hunsaker has been prominently identified with the relief so biety in that ward from the beginning and was never too occupied with her own affairs to prevent her from lending assistance whenever it was needed in any of the affairs of the ward she was splendid at inaugurating new projects an accomplishment acquired during the pioneering days and she was a tower of strength to her husband in all his affairs because of her excellent judgment and powers of organization she was the mother of 13 children tour four of whom have preceded her to the other life fourteen grand children also survive her and her children are among the most respected in the county funeral services are being held today in the Ilone honeyville chapel a large company of relatives and friends from this city having gone up to attend them |
