There are a few other activities to consider The Student Center game room is a mecca for bowling billiards foosball and electronic and pinball games of all tvpes The cost for bowling is 75 cents for students with a 35 cent charge for shoes Special prices are available between the hours of 8 a m to 5 p m when one may bowl for 50 cents per game Billiards are charged at the rate of $130 per hour foosball at $150 per hour and table tennis at 60 cents an hour The arcade features a great variety of pinball and video games at 25 cents Game room hours are 8 am to 10 pm Monday through Thursdav and 8 am to 11 p m Friday and Saturday For more bowling Logan Lanes is located at 1161 North Mam Their prices are as follows: children 75 cents and adults 85 cents a line weekdays with the cost rising to 95 cents a line nights weekends and holidays Logan Lanes has been in business for 21 years and their hours are 9 a m to midnight during the week and 9 am to 1 a m on weekends Logan Lanes features billiards foosball and pinball as well For the arcade enthusiast Aladdin’s Castle is located in the Cache Valley Mall They feature a wide range of video games as well as pinball 1 Z3 ”We bring in new games nearly every week because most really hot games only stay that way for about a week” "We bring in new games nearly every week because most really hot games only stay that way for about a week” savs Aladdin Castle Manager Hayden B Smith “We have some games that do a steady business but none stay reallv hot for more than a week That's why we have to bring in new machines all the time” According to Smith the average age of Aladdin Castle’s customers falls somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 “Throughout the morning and afternoon we get a lot of high school students that slough class and a fair number of college students come in during the late afternoon We get a wide variety in the evening including a lot of families” he said Mien asked if the video games had taken over the pinball crowd Smith replied “Not really the good plavers the placers that have been playing for a long time plav pinball Most of these new games get boring once you figure out the strategy but pinball is always different it requires a little more skill” Aladdin's Castle is open 9 am to 9 pm weekdays and 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdavs The Logan Roller Rink is located at 101 East Center The building has a very colorful history- It was built in 1898 as an open air dance hall and has served as a National Guard Armory as well as a church house The Logan Rink has lessons for beginners on Saturdays from 9:45 am to 10:45 am and Tiny Tots instruction on Fridays at 10 am The t:nk opens at 7:30 pm nightly and is closed on Sunday The music is “traditional” skating music with a little and disco thrown in The disco craze never really hit the Logan rink as owner Kay Randall has purposely stayed away from it Prices are $150 evenings and $125 on Saturday afternoon these prices include skate rental A new addition to the skateworld of the valley is the Preston Skateland Roller Rink at 472 N State in that Idaho town The facility offers a snackbar a game room with pinball machines and a pro shop with a variety of skating goods Says owner Don Burrows “We service what we sell” Preston Skateland is open Friday and Saturday nights from 7 to 10 Wednesday night from 7 to 9 Monday night from 7 to 9:30 Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 and offers Tuesday and Thursday nights for reservations for private parties So if you are bored some night and can’t think of a thing to do try out skating pinball or bowling It might be a pleasant change - big-ban- d RAQUET BALL INDOOR TENNIS SAUNA RUNNING TRACKS BATH STEAM WHIRLPOOL 195 S 1st W brunch n A late morning meal eaten in lieu of both breakfast and luncheon a combined breakfast and lunch SATURDAY AND SUNDAY UNTIL 2:00 pm 3 ifjfgf M The Cottage Restaurant at the Baugh Motel |
