the body of george W stevens the young missionary who died in to new now tea land on july 28 26 arm arris ed at san cian francis a monday accompanied by H L baker of lehi lehl a returning missi missionary it was met there by two brothers of the de ceased joseph S stevens jr and john E R slovene stevens who brought it to price chere h ere the brothers and body were mft by the lather father of the deceased and broth er e r james D 0 mor morgan moran an and the follow ing members of the quorum of seventies fred olsen olson F P A killpack M A cox and don D duncan the body was prati ally turned over to the care of the lat er or organization of which deceased was a member meer the party left price thursday evening and arrived at Cast ledale at daybreak da break where they breakfasted and arrived at perron at a m today to day the remains were hermetically sealed in a metallic casket which will not be opened until the day of the funeral the funeral will be held next tues day afternoon sept 11 at 2 a clock mr baker will be present and some of the high church officials of salt lake city perhaps one of the apostles F P fiends of t the he deceased and his family throughout young oung wife lie and children and also hia his parents brothers and bisters sisters AN CHURCH SCHOOL the new school at perron ferran will open monday next in two cam commodious iodious and splendidly furnished rooms in the bryan building the two teachers are miss marg margaret aret la venture laventure of davenport lowa town and miss ada tay tailor lor of the same state they arrived about ten day das s ago and are familiarizing themselves with the dee needs d 8 of the field misa miss laventure the prin cipal is a teacher of ft bilue icie experience in the best schools of lowa town while misa miss T taylor ay or has had cons demable experience already is a teacher in utah fhe rhe courses of study will be practical 1 the same in all the grades aa those of the pub public ic schools of the state with the addition addi tion of 0 the study of the english bibia bibla as one of the text books the teaching of the bible will cot lot be sectarian or denominational in any auy se sense use only from tho th gendral denra christian point of view evangelical while the school is established and carried on an by the presbyterian church it does not teach but stands tor for a
