Cushing, 68, who died a ina Salt Lake City hospital of a heart ailment. Heis a native of Santaquin and the brother of two Santaquin residents. Mr. Cushing was born July 18, 1903 in Santaquin to Samuel and Nettie Holladay Cushing. He married Nora Carey June 28, 1924 in Bingham Canyon. Heis a former employee of Kennecott Copper Corp. and wes on the Bingham city council for 12 years. He was a memberof the Lion’s club and owned the Cushing Coal Co. He was also a member of the Bingham Caityon fire departmentfor 29 years and an officer of the brotherhood of locomotive firemen and enginemen. He was LDS. Heis survived by his widow, his daughter, Mrs. Verlo (Gay) Kenuricek, Copperton, five grandchildren and one greatgrandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Emma C. Whitmore, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Alberta Ferre and Mrs,Clinton (Priel) Davis, beth of Santaquin. SALT LAKE CITY (UPI) — The body of an elderly Salt LakeCity man,reported missing since Sept. 8, was recovered from the Jordan River in west Salt Lake late Monday morning. Police identified the man as William C. Chenney, 76. His body was discovered lodged beneath a railroad bridge about 10:15 a.m., police said. Officers said there ap- peared to be no indication of foul play. An autopsy into the man’s death was scheduled at the University of Utah Medical Center.
