Show Messenger-Enterpris- In Stewart Christopher Kent Stewart died Dec. 12, 1989 in the Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born April 19, 1989 to Kim C. and Elizabeth Dotson Stewart in Richfield, Utah. Survivors: parents, brothers and sister, Brandon, Kim, Steven and Patricia all of Richfield. Dotson, Obituaries Earl Andrew Peterson Earl Andrew Petersen, 93, of Moroni, Utah died Dec. 14, 1989 at the Canyon Hills Health Care Center, Nephi He was bom June 7, 1896 in Ephraim to Andrew P. Peterson and Annie C. Peterson. He married Deon Lay in the Manti LDS Temple April 21, 1937. His wife died Feb. 1, 1972. He was a farmer. He was an active member of the LDS Church, served as secretary of Elders Quorum for 20 years, secretary of High Priest for 20 years, Manti Temple ordinance worker, home teacher, artist, woodcarver and carpenter. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ned (Beth) Anderson, Fountain, Colorado; three sons: Andrew W. Peterson, Mt. Pleasant; J. Alvin Peterson, Moroni; Frank L. Peterson, Salt Lake n, Gail Gail City; 14 grandchildren; brother, Glade N. Peterson, California; preceded in death by two broth- Jensen, 84, Phoenix, Az., Owen and Rehnae Bagley, Manti and Fontella Dotson, West Great-grandmothe- Jordan. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 15, 1989, in Manti, Utah. Interment was in the Manti City Cemetery by Buchanan Mortuary. Jensen of Manti, len in Manti on August 31, 1927. She died in June 1969. He married VaLois Fisher March 31, 1970. He has lived in Manti all his life. Gail and his brother Kay opened the Jensens Dept. Store on July 9, 1925 in a small room that is now a part of the Manti Senior Citizen Center. While they were attending the University of Utah they had worked part-tim- e as salesmen in a shoe store in Salt Lake City. From that employment they decided to open a shoe store in May Christmas bring contentment to your heart, the best of health, good luck and good will to everyone. Sanpete Shop & Save F r, passed away Monday, December 18, 1989 at his home in Manti of cancer. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21 at the Manti Stake Center at 12:30. Viewing will precede the services from 10 a.m. until 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Mr. Jensen was born March 28, 1905 in Manti to Samuel Erastus Jensen and Emily Keller Jensen. He married Grace Al- ers and two sisters. Funeral services were conducted in the Moroni Stake Center Monday, Dec. 18. Interment was in the Moroni City Cemetery. . Manti. This was later changed to a grocery business. Having success in this, they decided Gail was to go to Gunnison and start another grocery outlet. They later closed this business and the brothers separated. In 1930 Gail acquired a new partner, Perry Eliason, husband of Gails sister Ada Eliason. In 1933 they merged their grocery business with the dry goods business. Gail managed the dry goods department. When Perry left the partnership in 1944, Gail sold the grocery end of the business to Nathan Bradley. He kept the dry goods store - the Jensens Dept. Store. In 1952 Gails son Bob joined the business. In 1958 Gails second son was set up in the shoe business as Garys Shoe Store in Richfield. In 1979 Bobs third son John joined the business. In July 1985 Gail had been in business for 60 years in Manti Gail served four terms as Page 1 0 Neal McLain Madsen Christopher Kent memory of . 1 989 Thursday, December 21 , e, Gail Neal McLain Madsen, age 68, died at his home in Moab, Utah Sunday, Dec. 17, 1989. lie had been battling lung cancer the past three months. He was born May 15, 1921 at Manti, Utah, a son of Loy Madsen and Margaret McLain Burnell Madsen. He married Una Madsen, also of Manti May 24, 1946. They had three children. Una passed away at the age of 41. He later married Helen Taylor of Moab. As a young man working with his father, he learned well the sheep business, independently shouldering much responsibility. It was here that his deep appreciation for nature began, and it continued throughout his life. His skills as a gardener were highly regarded. When America became actively involved in World War II, Neal, along with many other Manti boys, enlisted in the army. He served his country on many battlefronts in Europe. Upon his return home, he went into the mining business, working near Tooele, and later at Moab. He is survived by his wife, Moab; one daughter, Rose Ann Jensen 0 u i. Neal McLain Madsen Madsen Guire, Elko, Nevada; one son, Stanley Madsen, Moab; a Geralynn Madsen Bell, Tooele and a Peter Madsen, Delta; four also grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Manti Stake Center Friday, Dec. 22, 1989 at 1 p.m. A viewing will be one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Sib Christensen, 86, Chester, died Dec. 12, 1989 in the Sanpete Valley Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services were conducted at the Moroni LDS Stake Center on Saturday, December 16, 1989. Interment was in Moroni City Cemetery. Mr. Christensen was born in Moroni on March 24, 1903 to James Andreas Christensen and Maren Hansine Peterson. He married Agnes Matesen in Moroni on July 23, 1925. He was a member of the LDS Church. Mr. Christensen was a laborer. He retired from Ther- - moid in 1968. Worked for Green Thumb Project for 17 years. He is survived by his wife of Chester and daughter, Arlene DeLeeuw, Ephraim and son, Dale J. Christensen, Stansbury Park; also five grandchildren; Kelly S. DeLeeuw, West Jordan; Scott DeLeeuw, Manti; Marta Earl, Fielding; Lisa Robins, Salina; Patrick Christensen, Ely, Nevada; also 11 three n; sisters: Ivy Anderson and Mary Christensen, both Moroni; Elsa Hatch, Ameri- can Fork. Olsen, 74, who died on Dec. 14, 1989, in West Valley City, were held in the Jordan North 10th Ward, West Valley city, on Dec. 16, 1989. Interment was in the Valley View Memorial Park. Born October 2, 1915 in Ephraim to William George and Mina Jensen Olsen. Married Wanda Evans April 22, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served with his companion in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Mission in 1980. Scoutmaster, bishop, Popler Grove Ward. He was a counselor in the stake presidency in the Pioneer Stake; he was high councilman and at the time of his death, stake patriarch in the Jordan North Stake and an ordinance worker in the Jordan River LDS Temple.
