Harold Ashby Wilton Harold Ashby, 90, former resident of Springville, died Fri., Aug. 21, 1992 at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center of cancer. He was born July 27, 1902 in Rockport, Ky. to Samuel Alvin and NellieTichenor Ashby. Most of his younger years were involvedin sports. He played football at Hartford High School in Kentucky. In college at Kentucky Central he played National Guard while in Texas. In 1942 he moved to Troaa, Calif, and worked for American Potash and Chemical, later named He was manager of shipping and supplies. He retired in 1966. He moved to Springville in 1971, and in 1991 to Ephraim because of failing health. He was a member of the LDS Church. He is survived by two sons and three daughters: Wilton H. Kerr-McGe- baseball, football, track, and set the record for the javelin throw about 1918. After college he baseball with the played semi-prWichita Falls team.
