The schedule, as currently planned will have basketball begining August 8 and 9th and volleyball on August 10 and 11. Each session will go from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. It will be held at the North Sevier High School Gym, Salina. The cost is $15.00 per sport All ages arc welcome to participate! X ; t r f f Congratulation to Jessica Despain who won a first place trophy at Utah Angus Field Day held at Nelson Ranch in Lynndye. She also was second over all in the judging of about 50 participants of all ages. Her first place trophy was in the category of 13 and younger. Jessica is 7 and is the daughter of Kerry and Nannette Despain. All of their family attended the Field Day. Darann Sorenson attended Girls State at Cedar City, last week and really enjoyed this special experience. He mom Sherri Sorenson went down to the graduation on Friday evening. Clilf and Whitt Sorenson have enjoyed Fishing down at Piute with their Uncle Ron Durrant the last couple of weekends. Ronni Sorenson enjoyed having her friend Helena Lee of Circleville spend the weekend with her. Leah and Keith Bird arc the excited new grandparents of a baby boy bom June 6 to their daughter Shonnie and Robert Barlow of St. George. The new arrival weighed in at 7 lb 6 $ oz. and will be named Robert Howard. Congratulations to the first time parents and grandparents. Edith Sorenson is the greatgrandmother. Arva Lee Bertelson and Nancy visited in Payson last week with Carol and Gail Critchfield and family. Michael Sanders, son of Suzanne and Jim Sanders celebrated his 8th birthday on June 10. His parents took him to Provo shopping and out to eat at Sizzler in honor of his special day. He also had a birthday party a few days later. Christian Sanders attended a High School Basketball Tournament in Page, Az., over the weekend. Bemitta Mecham enjoyed dining out on her birthday with her daugh- ters Joyce Sampson, Brenda Buchanan, I.eisa Harward and Camille Sorenson and granddaughter Janeen Sorensen. Debra Humphrey and Mandi were in Park City, thursday through Sunday for Mandi to participate in clogging. Karl and Matthew joined them Sunday and they stayed until Tuesday. Kaye and Marius Despain and Nannette Despain and Kristi, Jessie Tara and Drew camped up Willow Creek over the weekend. Marcieand Doug Aitken and Trudy and Kevin Despain and family and Kerry were up to enjoy dinner with them. The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts did a clean up at Anthony Flats at the Riders Camp on Saturday. Jim & Joe Heath, Nannette Despain and Audrey Boore were the adult leaders. Brett Heath, Tim Sanders, Logan Cowley and Dustin Fagan were the scouts who helped. Cub scouts Randy Newman, Steven Heath, and James Cole Along with Fullmer assisted. Mitchell, Katie and Brook Heath and Kristi, Jessie, Tara and Drew Despain. They all enjoyed a hot dog roast after they finished. Hal Pickett and Scott Bartolomew spoke in Church. Logan Cowley provided the Musical Number. Boyd and Judy Christensen have had family members visiting with them over the Memorial Holiday. June and Milo Bosshardt cel- ebrated their 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary Saturday. Many family members and friends were in town to congratulate them on this special day. Pat Rassmussen graduated from SUU this summer with a degree in Elementary Education. Byron Jensen had several members of his family here this weekend. They installed a sprinkler system for him for father day. Norma and McKay Roberts have had her son and his family visiting with them this weekend. Ann Bosshardt and Kimberly Hampton have recently returned from Girls State held in Cedar City on the SUU campus. They said they had a good time and enjoyed meeting different girls and learning more about the government and how it winks. Shawn Lund, Ryan Williams and Scott Wilson are attending Boys State this week. Visiting with Nancy and Kevin Hampton this past week has been two of Nancys sisters.
