Leslee Nelson was hostess to the Dessert Club. She served a cool lemonade dessert before the nine ladies played progressive rummy. Prizes were won by Palsy Hampton, Susan Carlile and Diana Peterson. Valerie Johnson was released as a Primary teacher Sunday. Travis and Penny Honeycutt were sustained as Primary teachers. June Bosshardt is home recovering from hip replacement surgery. We wish her a speedy recovery. Her daughter Jan has beat here with two orherchildrenhelping this past week. Ronnie and Ellen Bosshardt are grandparents once again. Traci and Jason Neilson are the first time parents of a darling baby girl. Little Ashleigh was bom in Gunnison and $29T$$2 ; weighted in at lllbs. Home for the Homecoming weekend at North Sevier High School this weekend was Audrey Hales a student at SUU, Trisha Johnson and Christy Mickelsen students at UVSC. Pack Meeting was held Thursday evening at the park. After the opening ceremonies, the parents stayed and Cub Master Bonnie Andereasen held a parents meeting while the boys were guessing the pictures of the town and shaking cream to make butter. They spent the first week doing archaeology excavation at the Ashley National Forest. The following week they enjoyed doing some camping before participating in another passport in time project which was renovation work at the Swett Ranch. Richard and Phyllis Cowley and Joe and Logan traveled to Gillette, Wyoming over the weekend to attend the wedding of their grandson Jamie who is the son of Trent and Raelene Cowley. Lois Jackson of Salt Lake visited with her mother Essie and Lenoir Sorenson on the weekend. The primary had their quarterly activity on Saturday afternoon at the church patio and lawn under the direction of Debra Humphrey. There were 28 children and nine adults there to enjoy the Splish Splash Bible Bash which included water games centered around the lives of the prophets Moses and Jonah after which refreshments were served. Mrs. Evelyn Kiesel and daughter Marsha were in Salt Lake City keeping doctor appointments and visiting Mr. and Mrs. Walter Petty and also with Mrs. Ruth Murdock. Ruth came bach with Evelyn to spend the week. Mr. Dirk Jensen of West Jordon has been here visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shaun Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hardy spent one week in Wymer, Nebraska, visiting with Mrs. Marge Hardy and other family members. Jays birthday. The winner returned on August 1, 1908. around-the-worl- William C. "Bill" Hill Former Salina District Ranger, William C. Bill Hill passed away on September 7, 1994 in Roseburg, Oregon. Bill Hill and his family moved to Salina in the spring of 1957 as District Ranger for the U.S. Forest Service. Bill was active in the Volunteer Fire Department, Jaycees, and Church. The Hill Legion, 4-was transferred to Cascade, family Idaho in the fall of 1964. Bills career with the U.S. Forest Service began at the age of 14 and he retired from the BLM in Fairbanks, Alaska as Fire Management Officer in 1983. Bill Graduated from Utah State University with a BA in Forestry and served during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include wife Marian of 1 542 NW Rachel, Roseburg .Oregon, d son-in-la- w Cindy Andrea son Kent and Marlis Freeman spent the week of September 12-1- 6 in Salt Lake City attending the Utah Municipal Clerks Convention and the Conference of the League of Utah Cities and Towns. The convention concluded with a banquet dinner and a concert by Lee Greenwood. On Saturday September 17, Kent and Marlis were met by their son, Ryan, and his friend, Ryan Maris of Salina, their son Rycham and his wife, Kelly, and daughter Stephanie, and their daughter Angela and friend Tracy Robison of Scipio. The group spent the day at Lagoon. The dinner theater presented by the N.S.H.S. Drama Club with the play Deadly Deal was performed on September 16, 17, and 19. Audience members from throughout the North Sevier area enjoyed the play and were able to participate in solving the whodunit. The top sleuth of each evening was awarded tickets to an upcoming theatrical presentation at the High School. The cast and crew of Deadly Deal are to be commended for their efforts in putting the play together, and for providing good family entertainment for the community. We welcome home Neal Walser, who returned to Aurora and his family after serving with the U.S. Armed Forces in Turkey for the past fifteen' months. Neal has just retired from the military after fifteen years of service. His wife, Cindy, and children Steven, Jon, Tammy and Tonya are glad hes home, and so are we. Spec. 1st Class Robert Lund has been discharged from the Army. He and his wife, Marie and their two children were stationed at Copperas Cove, Texas. The lunds have ac- cepted employment and are living in Marysvale at present. Logan C Freeman, son of Lynda Freeman and the late Larry C Freeman, has been called to Guatemala to 529-358- 4 serve and L.D.S. mission. Cub Scout pack 648 held their monthly pack meeting on Friday, September 23.
