Reinholds third interception of the game with 1:35 left to play ended a furious Ricks College comeback and sealed a 3 3 victory for the 10th ranked Badgers. Many factors contribute to struggling season for Manti High School Templars By Greg Dettinger What is happening to Manti football this year, and why are they which is the worst start in several years? The first comments 0-- 4, that you might hear from the Monday morning quarterbacks is that it is the fault of the coaching staff. However, this is the same coaching staff that led the 1996 Templars to a 4 record. Head coach Brenan Jackson and assistant coach Jack Rapier are the same coaches that led the 1995 Templars to a 2 season. Other 5-- 9-- comments heard are about the Templars offensive scheme. Again, this same offensi e scheme was in existence and successful over the last four years under the reign of head coach Jackson. So what could it be? Another factor is that this years football team only has seven seniors, only one of whom, Cody Strickland, started both ways on last years varsity team. Regan Bolli, Will Alder and Cory Hatch started only one way last year; Kal Larsen and Jason Myler saw very limited varsity time while starting on the JV squad, Greg Hollingshead is a transfer from Montana, and finally Jeff Brenchley who returned to football after taking the last two years off. You have the best source of local news in your hands right now.
