The SWAC schedule enters the Christmas break with conference games set to resume on January 8 and 9. In last weeks action, the Badgers were faced with playing the first game of the weekend in Rjngely. Colorado on one of the most difilcult courts in the conference. The pair of victories over CNCC and CEU effectively put 3-- much-neede- Coach Jaime Whites team in a tie for second place in the SWAC with plenty of basketball left to be plajed. However, in light of the injuries that have plagued the Lady Badgers so far this season, to be among the conference leaders after two weeks is no small feat. Last weekend. Snow wasted little time in establishing themselves during the road trips first game, jumping out in front of CNCC early, then hanging on for a 92-8- 4 victory. Though the Lady Spartans did manage to keep it close for most of the game, the Lady Badgers tremendous then sealing the victory in the end. The 7 victory over the Lady Eagles was due largely to Snows rt repeated ability to break the press employed by CEU. While CEUs press was relatively ineffective, Snow Colleges defensive pressure forced CEU full-cou- into many turnovers, creating more scoring opportunities for the Lady Badgers.
