The Templars, just like last w eek, emerged out of the blocks quickly to take a 20-- 0 lead after one quarter of play. Jake Williams scored on a run, Cy Tidwell scored on a 4- ard scamper and Brady Nielson TD pass to give caught a the Templars the huge lead. In the 2nd Quarter, the Templars got a spark from their defense as Scott Barclay read a screen pass efficiently and returned the gift 30 yards for another Manti score. Cy Tidwell also struck paydirt again, this time on a TD run, and the Templars were well on their way, taking a 34-- 0 lead at the half. In the second half, the Templars kept rolling along as McKay Anderson scored his fourth touchdown of the season on a 17-ya- rd scamper. 68-ya- rd margin of victory. Brad Barton also contributed by making a career-hig- h five extra points. The Templars were again inspired by their head Coach, Brenan Jackson, who at the weekly team meeting, told his team to be the catalysts, not the inhibitors, and to show no fear. They certainly took notice, as the last two weeks, the Templars have gone against much bigger opponents, and yet Badgers send packing with All-Star- giving first year head coach, Mike Empey, his inaugural w in at Snow College. The capitalized on the Badger's early inability to hold onto the ball, grabbing a 0 lead when former Weber State quarterback, Dave Stireman, connected with Jason Quinn on a scoring strike. Stireman's touchdown pass resulted from Snow's second turnover in the game's first four minutes and prompted an audible gasp of concern throughout an anxious Labor Day Weekend crowd. Finally, with 4:03 left in me game's opening stanza, Badger quarterback, Olin Hannum, called his own number and gave the Badgers the lead on a five yard dash into the end zone. Like an alarm clock's ring, Hannums touchdown woke Empeys slumbering squad up as they went on a scoring rampage to tally 37 unan71-1- 2, All-Sta- rs 6-- 25-ya- rd swered points, veritably turning the game into a laugher before the half.
