McLean and wife Ann of Salt Lake City; Lanny B. McLean and wife Ann of Sun Valley, Idaho; Kenneth R. McLean and wife Judy, Las Vegas, Nev.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Subic of Rock Springs, Wyo. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant View 2nd LDS Ward, 250 W. Elberta Drive, with Bishop Sheldon L. Nelson, officiating. Vermal Catherine Staker Allen BRIGHAM CITY - Vermal Catherine Staker Allen was born Jan. 5, 1913 to Alvin Leroy and Isabell Richmon Staker of Teton City, Idaho. She died Apri 30, 1994 in Brigham City, Utah. She and her husband ; Wayne reside at 280 N. 600 E. was the youngest of five children. 3 Her oldest § brother Veri Leroy is deceased. The second brother Erold resides in Salt Lake City. Her sister Lillian Garner resides 4 in Brigham City. ee She married her childhood sweetheart, Wayne Allen, on Aug. 13, 1933 in the Logan LDS Temple. He remained the center of herlife and survives her passing. Together they raised seven children, All surviving, Annabell Gardner-Jacobsen of Logan; Waynette Hammond of Blackfoot, Idaho; Lary S. Allen of Vancouver, Washington; Gayle Lott of Colville, Washington; Royce Allen of Oakton, Virginia; Lenon Longacre of Colstrip, Montana and Laird Allen of Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition she is survived by 45 grandchildren; 89 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Shortly after marriage Wayne and Vermal moved to Logan where Wayne attended university and graduated in Forestry. Their path then took them to Arkansas and on to Southern California where Wayne workedas a Forest Ranger. Upon the death of Wayne's father they moved back to Teton City, Idaho where they operated the family farm. They later moved to St. Anthony, Idaho where they operated a feed business for a short time before Wayne took employment with the Soil Conservation Service. This new job led to assignments in Terreton, Idaho and finally back to Rexburg, tdaho. Vermal played an important rote in the wards and branches of her church wherever she lived and dedicated herself to raising their seven children. She servedin the Primary, MIA, Sunday School and Relief Society. She was the family bookkeeper at home and for the business ventures. She later worked at Ricks College until the time of their retirement when Wayne and Vermal moved to Brigham City. The daughter of Charles and Gertrude Parker Welch, she was born August22, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Lloyd Thomas Temple. gam Far- § mington, Utah, where they have resided for the past 50 years. They recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. They had three chitdren, Robdert Lloyd Spackman, Donna Spackman Hyde, and Richard Michael Spackman, who died as an infant. Trudy, as her friends knew her, graduated from West High Schooi and attended LDS Business College. She worked for ZCMI, and during Worid War Il, for the Remington Arms Piant. An active member of the LDS Church. Trudy served in the Primary as a teacher and secretary, and in the Relief Society as a teacher. She also enjoyed being a Visiting Teacher. Trudy was a memberof the Farmington 3rd Ward. SHe was loved and will be missed by ail who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Spackman; twochildren, Robert (Carotyn) Spackman; Donna Spackman Hyde; 11 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
