An avid gardener, Fred K. (Ted) Brown of 937 E. 700 S. in Clearfield, is very proud of the progress his garden has made this summer. MR. BROWN and his wife, Afton, raise many flowers and vegetables in their own green house located in the rear of their yard. The majority of the Browns lovely garden were raised from seed early this summer in the green house. THE FLOWER garden is made up mainly of petunias, marigolds and zinnias. In one section of the garden, Mr. Brown has designed an American flag entirely out of red, white and dark purple OF Au TRUCKS 1 'S c. petunias. As anyone who drives up 700 S. can see Mr. and Mrs. Brown spend much of their 'o spare time tending to the needs of their garden. Mr. Brown takes orders from people for much of his produce. Stimsons Market in Layton buys its hot chile and green peppers from him. MR. BROWN is employed at S. Clearfield Elementary School across the street from his residence. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Roger-so- n who were on a combined business and pleasure trip to Eglin Air Force Base, Florida were involved home. They had been sightseeing along the route and after leaving Nauvoo, Illinois enroute to Bethany they had the misfortune of swerving to miss being hit by another au-- , tomobile and wrecked their car. They were both confined to the hospital for three days from injuries and after being released they had the opportunity of contacting Mr. and Mrs. William Packer at Marysville, Missouri and visiting with them for two days before returning home. David Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wright returned home this week from Anchorage, Alaska where he has spent the past six weeks with his sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Alan Jorgenson.
