BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAYTON CITY, UTAH: Section 2.21.4 of the City Plumbing ordinance is hereby amended as follows: 2.21.1 (a) Every owner of land, his agent, or other person having charge of or occupying land which is located upon any street, avenue, highway, alley, court, or lot of any description whatsoever in Layton City and within 300 feet of a public sewer located in Layton City, shall cause the plumbing located upon such land to be connected to the public sewer. Within 5 days of the passage of this ordinance, the City Building Official shull give notice to the user of any land which comes within the provisions of this subsection and which has plumbing which is connected to any privy vault, septic tank, or cesspool, that such connection must be discontinued and such plumbing must be connected with the public sewer within 180 days of such notice. (b) After 160 days from the passage of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for the owner of land which comes within the of subsection provisions (a) hereof, his agent, or other person having charge of or occupying such land to allow the plumbing upon such land to remain unconnected to any public sewer for more than twenty days after the sewer is ready to receive connection from such plumbing.
