Show Spring City, Wales, Gunnison must plan for primary elections MT. PLEASAN- T- Three Sanpete County communities will hold a primary election on Oct. 7. Spring City had five candiseats dates file for two four-yepresently held by Cynthia Allred and Doug Johnson. Those filing were Cynthia Allred, incumbent, Neil D. Sorensen, L. Ross Marilyn Christensen anc M. Eldon Barnes. Robert S. Allred (incumbent) and Ray E. Christensen for mayor. In Gunnison, Steven Buchanan, incumbent, will run unopposed for mayor. For a two-yeinterim council term held by Marianne Kjar, Marcie Stewart, Bruce F. Christenson, Leslie H. Laddie Pruett and Edwards, Thomas R. He has often entertained audiences here with his beautiful singing voice. This concert is presented in conjunction with the summer exhibitions at the museum including 70 paintings by John Stans-fiel- d which runs until Aug. 23 and 18 signed original prints by Norman Rockwell. Seating in the museum great hall is limited. The concert is recommended for adults and children over age 13. Museum officials are encouraging attendee to arrive early and tour the collections and exhibits of one of the "great rural museums of the West". FAIRVIE- W- Dorothy Valentine and Dave Thomas will perform a late summer salon recital, piano and voice, at the Fairview Museum of History and Art on Friday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. Valentine began her training at age 9 in Los Angeles and played with the L.A. Philharmonic at age 13. After moving to Tx she performed Houston, there. She is well known to the people of this valley, having taught and accompanied here for several years. PLEASAN- T- Kindergarten students in the North Sanpete School District will not start school until Sept. 8, according to a recent letter that went out to parents of kindergarten aged children. A newly enacted law requires school districts to students in readiness skills. Parents should have an appointment for their child during the first two weeks of regular school. Each appointment will take 40 minutes. Karen Kowalski at the district office stated that if parents have not received their letter to contact their school for an appointment.
