Telegraph Rd, Washington, UT. No invitations will be sent. The bride attended North Sanpete schools. The bridegroom was raised in southern Utah and graduated from Hurricane High School and is employed in construction. The couple will make their home in Hurricane. Noel Nicholes and Daniel Bateman FAIRVIEGladys B. Anderson will celebrate her 90th birthday at a family party on Saturday, Feb. 4, 1995, at 2 p.m. W- at the Family Living Center in Orem. She was born Feb. 3, 1905, on her mothers birthday in Fair-vieto Rufus Orrin and Ella Bushman Barker. She married Hugh C. Anderson on Sept. 2, 1925, in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Nov. 26, 1971. She has served in many positions in the LDS Church including several years as a temple worker. Her children are: Robert H. Anderson, Orem; Florine Nielsen, Fairview; John C. Anderson, Salt Lake City; and Terry G. Anderson, Richfield. Another son, Orin D. Anderson, died in March 1987. She has 23 grandchildren and 47 w I ' "- Former Mt. Pleasant resident, Gordon R. Staker, and his wife, Beverly, have been called to serve in the Moscow, Russia LDS Mission, both as missionaries and in a leadership position. They will enter the MTC Feb. 6. They are members of the Cedar City Sixth LDS Ward. Gordon (Dick) graduated from North Sanpete High School and Snow College. He is the son of Glenda R. and the late Gordon L. Staker. Beverly, a Fairview native, is the daughter of the late Maitland and Marcella L. Graham. The 13 introduction to the new e catalogue and other computer services now available to patrons. The cornerstone hears the date 1914, and records indicate the building was in use in 1915. The building is essentially the same as it was when originally built. Librarian Joanne Taylor and a crew of volunteers have cleaned and done minor repairs while the library has been closed. card. The library has been closed so that the collection could be d and since er bar-code- Snow faculty art show slated by Dean O Driscoll EPHRAIM Members of the Snow College Art Department are showing off some of their best work in the Fine Arts Gallery now through Feb. 7 for public viewing between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The gallery is located in the Humanities Building on the Snow College Cam- pus. The Faculty Show consists of work by Professors Osral Allred, Carl Purcell and Brad Taggart. CEDAR CIT- Y- Former Mt. Pleasant Resident Gordon (Dick) Staker, 56, is retiring from his post as Cedar City District ager for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to serve an LDS Mission to Russia. In this capacity, Staker managed over 5.3 million acres of BLM land, a little over half of area the district the covers. Purcell is a signature member of the national Watercolor Society, and joined the faculty in 1974. Brad Taggart is a graduate of Snow College and Utah State University, and joined the faculty in 1994. WA, with the 115th Engineering Battalion of the Utah National Guard in 1961. He joined the BLM in 1962 and worked as a range conservationist in Cedar City. Beginning in 1974, he worked three years in Washington, D.C., then moved to Oregon where he worked in a management capacity. He took over as Cedar City District Manager in 1988 because he wanted to work again in Southern Utah. He is the son of Glenda R. Staker of Mt. Pleasant and the late Gordon L. Staker, and a graduate of North Sanpete High School and Snow College. Sister Wendy Morley, daughter of Robert and Annette Morley of Moroni, has been called to serve in the South Carolina Columbia LDS Mission. She will speak in the Moroni First Ward at the Stake Center on Jan. 29, at 9:30 a.m., and will enter the MTC on Feb. 1. Parttime--2- 0 The show includes watercolors, oil paintings, etching, drawing and sculpture. The childrens reading area will now be just outside the small room where it has been located. That room will now house the video collection and monitor for viewing videos. This change should make the video services less intrusive for reading patrons. A computer and CD ROM have been purchased with a grant from the Utah Centennial Committee. It will now be possible to prepare texts and print them at the library. Patrons will also have access to Internet. Taylor says she hopes the library will become the center for information in the community. She welcomes all Ephraim citizens and friends of the library to celebrate "A Window on Our Past, a Door to Our Future" at the open house. Manti City is requesting that all trash containers being set out for collection by Manti City be placed adjacent to the oil street.
