Scouting-Orde- The goal of becoming an Eagle Scout has become a tradition in the Michael L. Goodsell home. This past week Brandt attained the Eagle Scout rank and this completed the family goal of attaining Eagle awards. Athens, Greece, and received his second class there. He received his "Arrow of Light" and "Faith in God" awards in Darmstaut. Germany and received his I st class and Star Rank in Lakenheath. England in 1982. He was presented the award Feb. 20 during an Eagle Scout Court of Honor held in the Fruit Heights 3rd Ward. BRANDT became a Boy Scout in 1983. fastest runner on his team. He also played soccer. He returned to the United States with his family in 1983. where he became a patrol leader in Troop 442. IN HIS church, he served as president of the Deacons quorum in the Fruit Heights 3rd Ward. His hobbies include riding, motorcycles. rock music and all sports. While living in Greece, Brandt received an award for setting a new school record in running broad jump by jumping 12 feet 3 inches. Brandt's two older brothers, Chris and Marc and his father are Eagle Scouts. Chris and Marc received their Eagle Scout awards in Athens, Greece, np HE PARTICIPATED in football in Europe and was considered the -- Richard Hunt, - the appreciation the seniors have for him and his w illingness to assist with this worthwhile program. Mr. Hunt responded by saying he has been committed to a senior citizen program since he was hired to the position of Parks and Recreation Director. "The goal of recreation programs is to make life a little better and a little happier." Mr. Hunt said. Shirley Lynch, senior citizen director, told of the growth of the senior citizen program. She said it was started four years ago when Mr. Hunt organized a very small group of senior citizens. As the numbers grew, it was necessary to move the expanding senior programs into the old blast Layton City Hall building. Soon, this building was not large enough to accommodate the weekly luncheons and other activities. WHEN LAYTON City sold the old East Layton city hall building, Mr. Hunt was instrumental in securing the Verdeland Park 1 providing good programs for citizens in the community doing my job. That's what about the profession chosen. It I honor student and an accomplished musician. Chris teaches Syracuse Third Ward, obtained their Eagle Scout awards. IN THE group were Chris H. Bodily, son of Gary and Caroll Bodily, 889 W. 2700 S.. Syracuse. He is a ninth grader at North Davis Junior High School along with the other two Eagle recipients. He is a piano in after school hours and is active in sports and loves hunting and fishing. Korey Nance, is the son of Albert and Sherron Nance of 1356 Bluff Road, Syracuse. Previous to his Eagle award, he received his Arrow of Light and Faith in God awards. He has served as senior patrol leader and is active in the Syracuse 3rd Ward. GAYLEN R. Holt, is an active member of the same troop. An actige member of the Syracuse 3rd Ward1 he has served for the past two years as the troops librarian. His hobby is computer programming. These three boys have had the opportunity of having been led through the scouting years by Ronald J.
