Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. James Beck (lev. to Atlanta. Ga to pick up a new school bus for the Davis County School District and drive it back to Utah. En route home they spent time in Washington. D C. sightseeing and visiting the Washington, D.C. LDS Temple and visiting church history sites in Independence, Mo. and Kirkland. Ohio for a 12 day trip, returning Friday night. Missionaries Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Meacham and family attended the Putnam-Hogga- n family reunion at the old ranch in Woodruff and having lunch at the Monte Cristo Picnic area on Saturday with some 70 descendants attending. Mr. and Mrs. John Murdock and grandson John Woody McCullum spent a week vacationing at the Black Hills of South Dakota. Dr. and Mrs. Clyde Mar and family recently visited in Hood Rive, Ore. with her mother. Mrs. Ina Parsons. Dennis Anderson of Bountiful has returned home from a business trip to Lexington, Ky. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. William Galbraith was her brother. Mr. and Mrs. Hooper Mortcnsen. HE WILL leave Oct. 4. His farewell will be held Sept. 9 at 8:30 a.m. in the Kaysville 10th Ward, 1039 E. Crestwood Road. Elder Page is a graduate of Davis High School and Kaysville Seminary. Layton News HE IS an active member of the Kaysville 4th Ward and will speak at Sacrament meeting on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 10:45 a.m. The chapel is located at 2nd N. 950 E., Kaysville. Elder Jones is a graduate of Davis High School and LDS Seminary. He was a member of the Golf Team at Davis High and w'as outstanding in art and woodwork. He captured a competition win at Brigham Young University in 1983 for his artistic work in wood designing and woodwork. He has made this a great hobby. By DONETA M. GATHERUM 773-497- Mr. and Mrs. Larin Nalder returned home after completing the trip of a lifetime to Alaska. Accompanying them to our northern most state were Leo and Mary Dahle of Sandy. The motor trip from Layton, across Canada to Alaska and back home covered 7,509 miles. They were gone 61 weeks. In Alaska Mr. and Mrs. Nalder met their grandson, Tim Brown, who was working in Anchorage. He took them many places. They toured Anchorage, Fairbanks and most of the other major Alaskian cities. They took a ferry from Haines around the more remote parts of Alaska. At one time, the tourists were within 120 miles of the Arctic Circle. En route home, Mr. and Mrs. Nalder stopped in Seattle to visit with Larin's sister and his brother- - HE HAS been employed by the LDS Church Distribution Micro-Peripherial- s. This past summer he has been a in the Uinta Moun- lumber jack tains. ELDER JONES will enter the Mission Training Center on Thursday Sept. 13. vsb ELDER GLOVER Deadline Elder David B. Glover has been called to serve a mission for the LDS Church in the Mexico-Mexic- o South Mission. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron J. Glover Jr. of Layton. 1 p.m. Elder Glover graduated from Layton High School and LDS Seminary, where he was on the football and wrestling teams and was a Laytone. During the past year he attended the College of Eastern Utah in Price, on a football scholarship and was on weight lifting and football teams. 1 classes at a local college or trade school. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Easier of Chula Vista, Calif, spent last week in Layton visiting at the home of their David daughter and and Louise Sill. They were able to attend the baptism and confirmation into the LDS Church of their granddaughter, Natalie Sill. Last week Mrs. Monte Criddle and her five boys traveled to Mt. View, Wyo. to spend some vacation time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Flint. The boys enjoyed fishing on the high Uinta mountain streams of Wyoming and Utah. son-in-la- DR. JERRY J.
