ARNDT has established a sound reputation locally for her good cooking and her creative cake decorating even though she and her family have lived in Layton only a year and a half. Originally from Texas. Mrs. Arndt now considers Layton her home. She has traveled extensively with her husband. Gale, who is a retired Air Force Career person. Mrs. Arndt's two sons were born in England while Gale was stationed there. The girls in the Arndt family were born in Maine. Florida and Arkansas. MR. ARNDT received a TDY assignment to Hill Air Force Base. He liked the four seasons in this area, the people and the surroundings. He moved his family to Clearfield and then to Layton. After retiring from the Air Force, Mr. Arndt took a job with the Clearfield Post Office as a letter carrier. MRS. ARNDT has a very challenging career at Hill Air Force Ba.ie. She is the sales and merchandise manager at the base exchange. She secured this important position by starting at the bottom and working up. Her ability to put everything she has into whatever she is doing helped her secure the manager position. She enjoys the challenge of handling so much responsibility. Several years ago Mrs. Arndt started learning the craft of cake decorating. She took some classes and discovered she had abilities in this area. Today she makes special cakes including wedding cakes for friends. 1 1 MIX ALL ingredients and bake in 9x13 pan at 350 for minutes. 45 ICING cube margarine cup sugar 2 tsp. flour 6 oz. can evaporated milk 2 egg yolks 1 1 1 Its birthday congratulations, this week, for Brandon T.
