Family members who attended the funeral in Parowan reported that it was a large, beautiful service. Ned had many many friends. Dec. 28th, was a special day for Jared Whatcott, son of Bruce and Linda Whatcott, when a group of his friends helped him celebrate his 8th birthday at his home. At 6 p.m. that evening, and family members friends, gathered at the church to witness Jareds baptism and confirmation, which was performed by his father, Bruce. Jared was very happy to have three sets of grandparents attend his baptism: Mr. and Mrs. Dern Williams; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Whatcott and Mr. and Mrs. Vin Whatcott. Oleta Kimball Rappleye visited family and friends in Fillmore and Kanosh during the holidays. Her had Trish, daughter, spent Christmas in Bakersfield with her and her brother Brad. Brad teaches Math and Physics at the high school in Bakers- - By Dathel Whitaker Blaine and Minnie Pen- - had a very happy Christmas vacation with all of their family being together. They went to Evanston, Wyo. and spent Christmas Eve and had Christmas dinner with Carolyn and Loy Dobson and children. From there they went to Providence to the home of Peggy and Carl Nixon and family. While at the Nixon home all their family came and were together for dinner, a program, games and visiting. Howard and Karen and their family came from Gerrington, Nevada; Sue, Van, Stephanie Stott from Salt Lake; Loy, Carolyn and family from Evanston. After visiting with the Nixon family, Howard, Karen and family came to Kanosh, where they spent two days before returning to their home. Veda and Henry Davis enjoyed the Christmas holiday in Tooele with their daughter, Anna Loy Parker, husband Rick and children. They are very relieved and happy over the improvement of their little 4 yr. old, granddaughter, Spring Parker, who has been seriously ill. Lorin and Yolanda Hat- ney field. Norma and Forrest Paxton traveled by bus to Salt Lake to spend the holidays with their son, Henry, wife Colleen and family. and Virge Beverly Christensen had a most enjoyable visit with all of their family members on Sat., Dec. 26th, when aU twenty-fiv- e gathered at the home of Paula and Clark Johnson in West Valley, where they exchanged gifts; had dinner and a fun time with the puppets, Grandma and Grandpa Christensen had given each grandchild. Kelt Phillips spent a week in Kanosh with his grandparents, Bob and Jean Phillips. Kirk lives in Pocatello, Idaho. Of all the Christmas cards Dathel received, during the holidays, the one that she enjoyed most was from Eugene Crabtree, thanking her for her news items in the Progress, of friends he went to school with in Kanosh over 50 yrs. ago. Both are in poor health at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Garn Turner and children, Travis, Amber, Susie, Annie Laurie, and Gregory, were in St. George for a few days during the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lun-diand brother Craig and other family member. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bauer enjoyed having their son, Frank Jr., his death. She will remain here with her children for awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Robinson and children of Pocatello, Ida. were here to spend Christmas and a pleasant weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Robinson. They visited with his brothers and their wives, Grant and Arleen and Ralph and Leah and Dale. Mrs. Clara Damon came from New Mexico to get her twin daughters, Faun and Fern, to take parents, Boyd and Judy Melville, brother John, sister Serena Christensen, her husband, Ken, and their two children in Fillmore. In the evening, Dec. 26th, the Jack Hig-ley- s arrived with their children, Aaron, Jessica, Benjamin and Nathan, to spend the holidays with Lisas parents, Delia! and Virgie, while Jack spent several days in Salt Lake on business for his company.
