Pleasant Pyramid April 27, 1972 at Local women Rebekah meet Mrs. Thaetta Larsen, Mrs. Sadie Mower, Mrs. Olena Ream and Mrs. Elizabeth Morley of Central Rebekah Lodge No. 52 attended the 70th session of The Rebekah Assemble of Utah at the Ramada Inn in Salt Lake City April 13 through 15. A skit, depicting the program of Jeanette Merriam, president of the Rebekah Assembly of Utah, written and directed by Sadie Mower, degree captain of the local lodge, was presented at the Assembly. Mrs. Mower was assisted by Olena Raam as Utah Dairy Wives to meet Saturday Annual Convention of the Utah Dairy Wives has been scheduled for Saturday, April 29, at the Salt Lake Roadway Inn, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The activities will include an entertaining luncheon with the election of new officers for the 1972-7- 3 year and introduction of State dairy royalty. Membership of the Utah Dairy Wives Association is comprised of ladies whose husbands either produce or dispense milk and other ladies who are interested in promoting health and good nutrition through the further use of dairy foods. The schedule of events includes: County Presidents and Board State Executive meeting from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Registration from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon; and Luncheon from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m. Anyone interested is invited to Research attend. Kathy Ann Lowe to become bride of Calvin B. in June Mr. and Ms. Kenneth E. Lowe Springville announce the engagement of their daughter Kathy Ann to Calvin B. She has received six individual awards of her in church activities. Following graduation, she attended Darrell Beauty College in Orem on a scholarship and graduated from the school. Prospective groom is a graduate of the Payson High School and Seminary. He held offices in the FFA as president, vice president, and reporter. He attended state and national FFA conventions. All were dinner guests at the Carlston home on Friday night. Over 300 guests were at the home of Lew Rigby on Sunday to congratulate him on his 80th birthday anniversary. An open house was held in his honor. Lew Rigby was born in Fairview on April 17, 1892 a son of James and Fanny Jordan Rigby. He married lone Sanders on October 14, 1925 in the Manti have two Temple. They daughters, Mrs. Afton Danials of Ogden and Mrs. Barto Briggs of Canoga Park, California. Mrs. Rigby died five years ago. He worked as a coal miner and spent several years in Tooele where he worked for the Combine Metals Company. The rest of his life has been spent in Fairview. He was a custodian in the Fairview schools for 18 years and was custodian under six bishops in the Fairview South Ward. The wedding reception was held Friday April 14 at 1251 Robin, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. Mr. and Mrs. Aiken attended the marriage ceremony, wedding breakfast, hosted by the parents of the bridegroom and the wedding reception where they were in the reception line.
