Seymour Jensen, teacher since 1922, will be honored by students of the U.N. Club. Students honor J. S. Jensen, soon to retire the students of North Sanpete High School go to the Model U.N. in Salt Lake City this weekend, they will pay tribute to their teacher and sponsor of the U.N. Club, J. Seymour Jensen, who will retire this year. Mr. Jensen initiated the U.N. Club at NSH. He began his teaching career in the fall of 1922. He has attended BYU, U. of U U. of Cincinnati, and U. of Nebraska. He has been principal of both the junior and senior high schools at North Sanpete. Active in community affairs, he is a past president of the Lions Club and three times a commander of the H. M. Zabriskie Post No. 4, American Legion. Mr. Jensen has been active in the LDS Church, serving as bishop of the South Ward, a counselor in North Sanpete Stake presidency, and at the present time is a member of the stake high council. He has been both a stake and ward MIA president. He received the Silver Beaver award in Scouting in 1958. The students are paying tribute to Mr. Jensen for the many things he has done for North Sanpete High School as well as for the U.N. Club.
