From the reports received at the factories from iall parts of the county and adjoining counties the fruits arc in better shape than they have been in years. The fruit growers of this district hive taken greater care of thoir trees during the 'past year or so, and the trees havcbcen free from all the infections. in-fections. Pears, apples, apricots, peaches and cherries will be very plentiful and the oanncrs will get all they can use. On account of the heavy rain storms which kept back the crops in May and June, the tomato crop will be a little later than usual this year. It is expected, ex-pected, however, that the harvest will begin in the first week of September |
