Dcscrct Farmer: I have a good marc that was cut just above the hoof on hind foot, in barb wire fence, last fall and I guess she took cold in .the cut and now it is a big warty looking sore and still gets larger; it may be a cancer. It is white in color and matters some. Would you please tell me what to do to kill this and cure it? L. Gr DURFEE, " Aurora, Utah. " i OLD WIRE CUT. " x ' K Answer to L. G. Durfcc, Aurora, Utah I would advise you to clean the leg and foot of your animal thoroughly with a good disinfectant. Then take a red hot iron and burn down the granulation that has accumulated at the scat of the wound. Get it down about level with the rest of the part. Powder it over with equal parts of Iodoform and Boric acid. Apply cotton cot-ton around the wound and then enclose en-close the entire part with a bandage. If considerable filth accumulates it should be washed. It should be dressed dres-sed daily and if there is not much accumulation ac-cumulation all that will be necessary " is to re-powder the part. If this is carefully carried out you will oyr-come oyr-come the condition. "&- |
