Show RUN OF TOURIST AUTOS WILL BE GREAT EVENT. Immense ist the word descriptive of the first annual tour given by the Auto Vehicle Company for its Tour. I ist machines. Invitations arc solicited for entries and) only Tourist cars made in Los A'ngclcs will be eligible for entry. J. Si Gonwcll, manager of the factory, has had C. B. Smith on the road on both the valley line and the coast route, examining conditions for thcl run, and making arrangements for? hotel accommodations. Leaving Los Angeles the route will be up the valley route through Bak crsficld, Fresno, Los Banos and San Jose, and then on to Oakland and Sail Francisco, where a two-days' stop will be made. Leaving San Francisco on the rc turn trip the route of travel leads , down the coast to Del Monte iand Santa Barbara, where stops will be macflc, and if optional with the tour ists, a day's stop will he mladc at Del Monte, which is ihc first control after leaving San Francisco. It is planned to have the trip con- sume four days up and four days on the return, while the stop in the north-may north-may be lengthened into two days. A' schedule mil lc arranged, 'with an itinerary and an accurate map with distances and time cards, and supplied' to every car. The run will be in the form of an endurance and reliability contest, and awards will be made for perfect scores, to be decided by the controls, which are established on both routes. ' The run will be at easy stages, and while of a competitive nature, regttl? tions will be such that an ordinary driver will have a chance to win, it not being an "expert" run. The. distance of the round trip will be about 1.050 nilcs, and controls' wM be stands, and there will be no running run-ning at night, with the exception C the first night cut, the route bcin such that a control cannot .be reached until late in the evening. Already entries have been received from outside points, car9 being entered en-tered from San Diego, Riverside, Red-lands, Red-lands, Pomona, Santa Ana, Bakers-field Bakers-field tand Fresno.
