Every two years these special competitions are held to select the top three tumblers and trampolinists to represent the U.S. in all international competitions. The first of these trials will be held in Bozeman. MT, on April 26 and 27, the second in Quincy, 111., on May 24 and 25. and the last in Las Vegas, NV, on the first or second weekend in July. Stacy Hansen, Teddie Endow and Julie Beaty have repeatedly placed in the lop 10 at national and world competitions in tumbling while Kay Davis has received the same honors in trampoline competition. Julie has, in fact, already represented the U.S. on a platform team in Bulgaria where she placed 5th after finals. The are busy raising the necessary funds to send these competitors and possibly a couple of others to the trials along with their coach, Jim Aamodt. Team manager Terry Ellis will also be attending as she has been selected by the USAF Board of Directors to be a judge for the team selections. The United States Acrogymnastics Federation (USAF) of the AAU has the international sanction to host these important meets will also be hosting the USAF within the United States. The regional meet at Murray High School on April 18 and 19 where 10 states will be sending their competitiors to qualify for the important USAF Nationals. The Montana meet directors have also requested information on the team to be used for advertisement and fund raising purposes to show the local populace the caliber of competitors coming to the meet. Superkids perform during halftime of Denver Tami Greenes Superkids, a professional junior drill team from Ogden, has made headlines again w ith their recent performance in Denver, Colorado. The girls marched and performed last Tuesday evening at the halftime of the Denver Nuggetts-UtaJazz NBA basketball game in Denver, was Colorado.
