The suspect was released to an officer of the Highway Patrol. March 23, 1979 3 Three girls, years old, were charged with a smoking violation at North Davis Junior High. An intrusion alarm at Clearfield State Bank was responded to. Officers found the building secure. Two children were reportedly crossing against lights at a busy intersection on scooters. Their parents were located and the children advised of the dangers. Sprouse Reitz, 399 S. State, reported the loss of $1.50 in items to an girl. Charges of apparent shoplifting were being investigated. An abandoned vehicle was investigated. Two girls, 12 and 15 years old, were reported as runaways. They were later spotted by police and returned to their mother. A possible case of possession of a controlled substance is being investigated. 12-1- March 24, 1979 Ken Le LaFleur, 1316 Marilyn Dr., reported a license plate missing from his car. Dorothy Welfare, 18, Queens, N.Y., was charged with battery in connection with an incident at the Job Corps and taken to Davis County Sheriffs Office. A civil dispute was investigated. Charles Buck, 20, 3268 S. 1000 W., Syracuse, was chaiged with driving under the influence and taken to Davis County Sheriffs Office. A boy from the Job Corps was chaiged with aggravated assault and taken to Moweda. A domestic disturbance was investigated. A referral is being made in a case involving a boy chaiged with public intoxication. Two juveniles were charged with unlawfully taking a vehicle. March 25, 1979 A case of trespassing is being investigated. A boy was chaiged with disorderly conduct at the Job Corps and referred to juvenile court. Debra Drakos, 26, 2662 N. 1500 W., Clinton, was held for officers from the Davis County Sheriffs Office after a warrant had been issued for failure to appear on a speeding ticket . Clearfield Conveyors, 362 S. Main, reported $275 worth of items taken from a truck. March 26, 1979 Assistance was given an officer from the Sunset Police Department who had two men chaiged with driving under the influence. They were taken to Davis County Sheriffs Office. Referrals were being made in a case involving two boys who took a truck without permission. Sunset Police Department March 17, 1979 Oksun Stone reportedly struck a state sign and was cited for improper lookout. There was $175 damage reported. March 18, 1979 James Brown, 1514 N. 75 damages to his apartment. W., reported approximately $150 March 21, 1979 Officials at Sunset Elementary School reported two dows broken by rocks. Michael David Skeen, 28, 5194 S. 1950 W., Roy, was taken to Davis County Sheriffs Office, following a charge of driving under the influence. Gayle Cottle, 6066 S. 3100 W. and Robert Montgomery, 3426 W. 300 N., West Point, were involved in an accident at Winegars Food Market parking lot. March 25, 1979 Gordon Rock, 1083 N. 390 W., reported about $200 damage done by BB guns shot at his home and camper. Larry Pullen, 1099 N. 390 W., reported a camper window shot by a BB gun. Damage listed at $30. A boy was released to his parents following a charge of driving under the influence. SAVES YOU MONEY FOODS March 26, 1979 Kimball Vernon Johansen, 26, 2700 N. 1700 W., Pleasant View, was charged with driving under the influence, while Edwin Lee Campbell, 21, 718 E. 800 N., North Ogden, was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
